Event Cover - Our Staff

We can provide the following levels of cover:

First Aid

All our First Aid staff have a minimum qualification of the HSE approved First Aid at Work certificate; in addition they all receive bespoke training in ‘event specific first aid’. All of our staff receive regular continuous personal development by means of in house training.

First Person On Scene (qualified)

Many of our staff hold national qualification from awarding bodies such at Edexcel and Ofqual, in different level of emergency care and first response. These individuals have undergone additional training and assessment in assessing and managing patients within the pre hospital environment. These skills include Immediate Life Support (enhanced airway management & defibrillation), trauma management, medical gases, medical conditions, minor injuries and many more.

IHCD Ambulance Technician (qualified)

The Ambulance Aid (IHCD Ambulance Technician) qualification can be the first stage for the Paramedic Practice qualification or can also be delivered as a stand-alone qualification suitable for those working in the pre hospital environment providing emergency care. IHCD Ambulance Technicians have received 7 weeks classroom tuition/assessment and a minimum of 750 clinical hours. Within the NHS environment these individuals will normally form part of a crew with either a Paramedic or an Emergency Care Assistant. In some areas, IHCD Ambulance Technicians will work on their own, crewing a Fast Response Vehicle (FRV).

Registered Nurse

With a minimum of 3 years in higher education and professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, our nurses offer outstanding patient care as well as the skills offered by a qualified ambulance technician.

Registered Paramedic

By law, all paramedics must be registered in much the same way as a doctor and other health care professionals ( Paramedics generally have at least 3 years training with the ambulance service and can offer first class levels of care in the pre-hospital setting. Paramedics provide specialist care and treatment to patients who are either acutely ill or injured. They can administer a range of drugs and carry out certain surgical techniques.

Advanced Care Practitioner

Registered Paramedics or Nurses who work autonomously within their scope of practice. These individuals have attended extra university level training over and above that of their paramedic colleagues and have advanced skills such as suturing and wounds care as well as administration of antibiotics and other drugs.

Registered with the General Medical Council, our doctors have a special interest in pre-hospital care. All of our doctors have extensive accident and emergency experience and act as both advisors to our clinical staff and as 'hands-on' emergency doctors with a full range of life saving skills/drugs.

All EMC staff are fully insured with references available. All staff wear an easily recognisable uniform with hi visibility clothing as appropriate.

Should your event require a more subtle approach to medical cover, our staff can be in attendance wearing whatever your dress code dictates. We regularly provide medical cover to weddings and other events where a covert approach to medical cover is required.
